Sales of pesticides reached 1,707 tonnes in 2006 in Sweden, according to Eurostat. This is 11.8 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, sales of pesticides in Sweden reached an all time high of 5,585 tonnes in 1986 and an all time low of 942 tonnes in 2004. When compared to Sweden's main peers, sales of pesticides in Denmark amounted to 3,254 tonnes, 1,645 tonnes in Finland and 690 tonnes in Norway in 2006.
