When compared to Nigeria's main peers, share of population using internet in Benin amounted to 12.0 %, 25.0 % in Cameroon, 5.00 % in Chad and 4.32 % in Niger in 2016.
Nigeria has been ranked 125th within the group of 177 countries we follow in terms of share of population using internet, 11 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
The percentage of individuals using the internet in the developed world had reached 70% by the end of 2011, according to ITU.
