Historically, sheep meat production in Latvia reached an all time high of 3.90 kt in 1992 and an all time low of 0.263 kt in 1999. When compared to Latvia's main peers, sheep meat production in Belarus amounted to 1.50 kt, 0.700 kt in Estonia, 1.10 kt in Lithuania and 195 kt in Russia in 2016.
