Smokers as a share of of 15+ year-old population reached 26.7 % in 2010 in Belarus, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 1.11 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, smokers as a share of of 15+ year-old population in Belarus reached an all time high of 28.2 % in 2005 and an all time low of 26.2 % in 1995.
Belarus has been ranked 3rd within the group of 22 countries we follow in terms of smokers as a share of of 15+ year-old population, 12 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
