Tallow production reached 4,800 tonnes in 2014 in Chile, according to Faostat. This is the same as in the previous year.
Historically, tallow production in Chile reached an all time high of 6,250 tonnes in 1997 and an all time low of 2,050 tonnes in 1973. When compared to Chile's main peers, tallow production in Argentina amounted to 166,700 tonnes, 37,265 tonnes in Paraguay and 69,400 tonnes in Uruguay in 2014.
