Total primary coal production reached 9,084 kt in 2015 in Kosovo, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 14.4 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, total primary coal production in Kosovo reached an all time high of 9,572 kt in 2012 and an all time low of 7,941 kt in 2014. When compared to Kosovo's main peers, total primary coal production in Albania amounted to 0.100 kt, 6,543 kt in Macedonia, 1,954 kt in Montenegro and 41,696 kt in Serbia in 2015.

Total primary coal production is the sum of sales, mine consumption, issues to miners, and issues to coke, briquetting, and other ancillary plants at mines.
