Historically, greasy wool production in Uzbekistan reached an all time high of 32,400 tonnes in 2013 and an all time low of 14,900 tonnes in 1996. When compared to Uzbekistan's main peers, greasy wool production in Kazakhstan amounted to 38,469 tonnes, 10,949 tonnes in Kyrgyzstan, 6,194 tonnes in Tajikistan and 38,000 tonnes in Turkmenistan in 2014.
