Alpha Bank Romania's capital adequacy ratio reached 22.1% at the end of 2016, down from 23.6% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 35.1% in 2005 and an all time low of 12.9% in 2010.
The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 16.3% at the end of 2016, down from 16.5% compared to a year earlier.
Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 131% at the end of 2016, down from 165% when compared to the previous year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 133%.
When compared to bank's main peers, BRD Groupe Societe Generale ended the year 2016 with a capital adequacy ratio at 20.4% and loans to deposits of 66.0% and Raiffeisen Bank Romania with 16.6% and 74.9% respectively.
