On the other hand, bank's customer deposit growth amounted to 8.15% at the end of 2019, down from 12.2% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s deposit growth reached an all time high of 33.0% in 2007 and an all time low of 7.50% in 2015. In the last decade, the average annual loan growth amounted to 14.8%.
At the end of 2019, Bank Rakyat's loans accounted for 85.8% of total deposits and 61.8% of total assets.
