Banka Celje's non-performing loans reached 13.2% of total loans at the end of 2014, down from 24.2% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 24.2% in 2013 and an all time low of 1.40% in 2007.
Provision coverage amounted to 112% at the end of 2014, up from 91.0% compared to a year earlier.
The bank created loan loss provisions worth of 6.07% of average loans in 2014. That's compared to 5.74% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.
When compared to bank's main peers, Nova Ljubljanska banka operated at the end of 2014 with NPL ratio of 30.9% and provision coverage of 63.5%, NKBM Group with 18.2% and 134% respectively and SKB Banka had 14.1% of bad loans covered with 79.5% by provisions at the end of 2014.
