Historically, banks' risk-weighted assets in Moldova reached an all time high of MDL 64.8 bil in 2014 and an all time low of MDL 2.00 bil in 1999. When compared to Moldova's main peers, banks' risk-weighted assets in Bulgaria amounted to BGN 64.5 bil, RON 233 bil in Romania, RUB 90,706 bil in Russia and UAH 829 bil in Ukraine in 2020.
