Historically, cattle meat consumption per capita in Hungary reached an all time high of 12.5 kg in 2000 and an all time low of 3.80 kg in 2015. When compared to Hungary's main peers, cattle meat consumption per capita in Austria amounted to 14.9 kg, 10.2 kg in Czechia, 1.54 kg in Poland and 5.84 kg in Slovakia in 2020.
