Historically, foreign debt in Kenya reached an all time high of USD 34,217 bil in 2019 and an all time low of USD 478 bil in 1970. When compared to Kenya's main peers, foreign debt in Ethiopia amounted to USD 28,288 bil, USD 5,616 bil in Somalia, USD 19,584 bil in Tanzania and USD 13,971 bil in Uganda in 2019.
