Historically, foreign debt in Somalia reached an all time high of 3,070 USD bil in 2013 and an all time low of 77.1 USD bil in 1970. When compared to Somalia's main peers, foreign debt in Djibouti amounted to 2,057 USD bil, 26,562 USD bil in Ethiopia, 26,424 USD bil in Kenya and 7,186 USD bil in Yemen in 2017.
