Hard coal production fell 1.69% to 1,026 kt in Bangladesh in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, hard coal production in Bangladesh reached an all time high of 1,102 kt in 2012 and an all time low of 84.9 kt in 2005. When compared to Bangladesh's main peers, hard coal production in Bhutan amounted to 93.9 kt, 3,404,024 kt in China, 590,594 kt in India and 649 kt in Myanmar in 2015.
