Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Peru reached an all time high of USD 2,916 mil in 2017 and an all time low of USD 428 mil in 1995. When compared to Peru's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Bolivia amounted to USD 1,017 mil, USD 22,991 mil in Brazil, USD 2,982 mil in Chile and USD 5,136 mil in Colombia in 2017.
Peru has been ranked 54th within the group of 145 countries we follow in terms of expenditure of international tourism, 11 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
