Pekao's capital adequacy ratio reached 17.4% at the end of 2022, up from 16.9% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 21.7% in 2004 and an all time low of 12.1% in 2007.

The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 15.6% at the end of 2022, up from 15.1% compared to a year earlier.

Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 75.3% at the end of 2022, down from 81.6% when compared to the previous year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 92.2%.

Comparing Pekao with its closest peers, PKO BP ended the year 2022 with a capital adequacy ratio at 17.8% and loans to deposits of 68.7%, Santander Bank Polska with 19.3% and 77.6% respectively and ING Bank Slaski some 15.2% in terms of capital adequacy and 80.5% of loans to deposits at the end of 2022.
