Slovak banking sector accepted retail deposits of EUR 35.1 bil in 2017, up 4.67% when compared to the last year.
Slovenska Sporitelna accounted for 28.1% of all retail deposits taken by banks in Slovakia at the end of 2017. Historically, the bank’s market share in retail deposits reached an all time high of 30.9% in 2008 and an all time low of 21.1% in 2001.
That's compared to a 21.6% market share the bank held in terms of total assets at the end of 2017.
