Based on a comparison of 24 banks in Czechia in 2018, Trinity Bank had the highest share of bad loans, followed by PPF Banka and SAB Finance Group.

Trinity Bank's non-performing loans reached 33.1% of total loans at the end of 2018, up from 26.4% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 39.4% in 2015 and an all time low of 2.23% in 2008.

Provision coverage amounted to 12.9% at the end of 2018, up from 10.4% compared to a year earlier.

Comparing Trinity Bank with its closest peers, PPF Banka operated at the end of 2018 with NPL ratio of 12.9% and provision coverage of 29.0%, SAB Finance Group with 12.9% and 10.2% and J&T Banka had 10.3% of bad loans covered with 68.1% by provisions at the end of 2018.

Non-performing loans of the whole Czechia’s banking sector amounted to 3.10% of total loans in 2018, down from 3.68% when compared to the last year.
