What Banks in Slovakia Generated the Most Revenues in 2016?

Based on a comparison of 13 banks in Slovakia in 2016, Slovenska Sporitelna generated the largest revenues, followed by VUB Banka and Tatra banka.

Slovenska Sporitelna reported total revenues of EUR 600 mil, down 0.791% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of EUR 605 mil in 2015 and an all time low of EUR 73.2 mil in 1999. The average revenue in the last five years amounted to EUR 595 mil.

Bank's total revenues accounted for 4.05% of total assets in 2016, down from 4.33% a year earlier.

Comparing Slovenska Sporitelna with its closest peers, VUB Banka generated total revenues of EUR 556 mil, or 3.96% of assets in 2016, Tatra banka operated with EUR 447 mil total income, or 3.93% revenue margin and CSOB Slovakia produced total income worth EUR 300 mil, or 3.52% of assets.

Slovak banking sector generated total revenues of EUR 180,186 mil in 2016, up 3.46% when compared to the previous year. As a result, the top ranked company - Slovenska Sporitelna accounted for 0.333% of the sector’s total income in 2016. The top 3 companies held a 0.889% share while the five largest firms some 1.17% in 2016.
