Total potato production reached 370,257 kt in 2014 in the World according to Faostat. This is 0.584 % more than in the previous year and 9.20 % more than 10 years ago.
Historically, total potato production reached an all time high of 375,149 kt in 2011 and an all time low of 240,495 kt in 1980. The average annual growth amounted to 0.594 % since 1961.
The top ranked country, China, accounted for 25.8 % of potato production in the world. The top 3 countries hold a 46.8 % share while the ten largest countries some 70.4 % in 2014.
