Based on a comparison of 12 banks among CEE Savings Banks in 2017, Sberbank was the largest lender, followed by Erste Group Bank and PKO BP.

Sberbank loans reached EUR 280,510 mil, up 20.7% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s loans reached an all time high of EUR 345,885 mil in 2014 and an all time low of EUR 10,027 mil in 1999.

Comparing Sberbank with its closest peers, Erste Group Bank customer loans amounted to EUR 139,532 mil, PKO BP operated with EUR 47,951 mil loans and Erste Savings Banks had a loan portfolio of EUR 41,096 mil.
