Historically, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Albania reached an all time high of 109 % in 1992 and an all time low of 31.6 % in 1986. When compared to Albania's main peers, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Greece amounted to 67.0 %, 79.2 % in Kosovo, 125 % in Macedonia and 106 % in Montenegro in 2017.
