Historically, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Congo reached an all time high of 166 % in 2015 and an all time low of 57.1 % in 1992. When compared to Congo's main peers, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Cameroon amounted to 41.2 %, 44.3 % in Central African Republic, 75.1 % in Gabon and 75.0 % in Dem. Republic of the Congo in 2017.
