Foreign trade as a share of GDP reached 99.9 % in 2017 in Croatia, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 5.53 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Croatia reached an all time high of 99.9 % in 2017 and an all time low of 63.5 % in 1995. When compared to Croatia's main peers, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to 94.6 %, 106 % in Montenegro, 114 % in Serbia and 155 % in Slovenia in 2017.
Croatia has been ranked 53rd within the group of 165 countries we follow in terms of foreign trade as a share of GDP, 25 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
