Interest Payments on Government Debt (Local Currency) in Sri Lanka

Interest payments on government debt reached SKR 980 bil in 2020 in Sri Lanka, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 8.76% more than in the previous year.

Historically, interest payments on government debt in Sri Lanka reached an all time high of SKR 980 bil in 2020 and an all time low of SKR 20.7 bil in 1990.
