Workers' remittances paid reached 922 USD mil in 2017 in Hungary, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 17.0 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, workers' remittances paid in Hungary reached an all time high of 1,526 USD mil in 2008 and an all time low of 59.8 USD mil in 1998. When compared to Hungary's main peers, workers' remittances paid in Austria amounted to 5,475 USD mil, 2,060 USD mil in Czech Republic, 5,865 USD mil in Poland and 271 USD mil in Slovakia in 2017.
