Historically, workers' remittances paid in Romania reached an all time high of 638 USD mil in 2014 and an all time low of 1.00 USD mil in 1997. When compared to Romania's main peers, workers' remittances paid in Bulgaria amounted to 199 USD mil, 922 USD mil in Hungary, 144 USD mil in Moldova and 584 USD mil in Ukraine in 2017.
