SEAT S.A. is a Spanish automobile manufacturer with its head office in Martorell, Spain. It was founded in 1950 and currently it is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Germany's Volkswagen Group. The name SEAT previously stood for the acronym Sociedad Española de Automóviles de Turismo (Spanish Touring Car Company).
