Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Hungary reached an all time high of USD 3,857 mil in 2008 and an all time low of USD 1,334 mil in 2020. When compared to Hungary's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Austria amounted to USD 5,551 mil, USD 3,495 mil in Czechia, USD 5,547 mil in Poland and USD 1,291 mil in Slovakia in 2020.
Hungary has been ranked 44th within the group of 123 countries we follow in terms of expenditure of international tourism, 6 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
