Historically, poultry meat production in China reached an all time high of 23,800 kt in 2021 and an all time low of 622 kt in 1961. When compared to China's main peers, poultry meat production in India amounted to 4,951 kt, 2,372 kt in Japan, 5,308 kt in Russia and 22,030 kt in USA in 2022.
