Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Cyprus reached an all time high of USD 1,968 mil in 2008 and an all time low of USD 473 mil in 1995. When compared to Cyprus's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Egypt amounted to USD 3,718 mil, USD 4,211 mil in Greece, USD 10,389 mil in Israel and USD 4,900 mil in Turkey in 2019.
Cyprus has been ranked 63rd within the group of 121 countries we follow in terms of expenditure of international tourism, 7 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
