Sales of passenger cars fell 1.10% to 174 thousand in Norway in 2022, according to ACEA.

Historically, sales of passenger cars in Norway reached an all time high of 176 thousand in 2021 and an all time low of 32.3 thousand in 1960. When compared to Norway's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Denmark amounted to 148 thousand, 81.7 thousand in Finland, 16.7 thousand in Iceland and 288 thousand in Sweden in 2022.

Norway has been ranked 13th within the group of 30 countries we follow in terms of sales of passenger cars, 27 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
