At the end of 2013, the Bank operated 210 branches and 810 ATMs in Bulgaria. The Bank was established in 1992 through the merger of 22 Bulgarian regional commercial banks. In 1997, the Bank was privatized. The Bank is headquartered in Sofia, Bulgaria. United Bulgarian Bank AD is a subsidiary of National Bank of Greece S.A.

United Bulgarian Bank's capital adequacy ratio reached 28.2% at the end of 2015, up from 27.4% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 28.2% in 2015 and an all time low of 12.8% in 2010.

The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 26.1% at the end of 2015, up from 24.2% compared to a year earlier.

Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 82.4% at the end of 2015, up from 81.2% when compared to the previous year.

When compared to bank's main peers, DSK Bank ended the year 2015 with a capital adequacy ratio at 17.3% and loans to deposits of 66.9% and Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria with 36.5% and 74.8% respectively.

Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of BGN 494 mil in 2010 and an all time low of BGN 190 mil in 2004. The average revenue in the last five years amounted to BGN 352 mil.

Net interest income represented 69.2% of total revenues, fee income contributed 24.6% and other non-interest income added further 6.14% to the overall revenue generation in 2015.

Bank's total revenues accounted for 5.68% total assets in 2015, up from 5.21% a year earlier.

When compared to bank's main peers, DSK Bank generated total revenues of 6.65% of assets in 2015, and Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria operated with 4.77% revenue margin.

Historically, the bank’s net profit reached an all time high of BGN 195 mil in 2008 and an all time low of BGN -42.2 mil in 2012. The average profit in the last five years amounted to BGN 23.3 mil.

On the other hand, bank’s revenues amounted to an all time high of BGN 494 mil in 2010 and an all time low of BGN 190 mil in 2004. The average revenues in the last five years reached BGN 352 mil.
