Raiffeisen Bank International's net interest margin amounted to 2.57 in 2016, down from 2.82 when compared to the previous year.

Historically, the bank’s net interest margin reached an all time high of 4.09 in 2008 and an all time low of 2.45 in 2012. The average margin in the last five years amounted to 2.73.

Average asset yield was 3.62 in 2016, down from 4.17 when compared to previous year. On the other hand, cost of funding amounted to 1.14 in 2016, down from 1.45.

Comparing Raiffeisen Bank International with its closest peers, Erste Group Bank operated in 2016 with a net interest margin of 2.15 BAWAG Group reached 1.93 and Kärntner Sparkasse some 1.84.
