Slovenska Sporitelna assets reached 16,343, up 10.2% when compared to the last year. Historically, the bank’s assets reached an all time high of 16,343 in 2017 and an all time low of 3,591 in 1998.

Comparing Slovenska Sporitelna with its closest peers, VUB Banka assets amounted to 14,971, Tatra banka operated with 12,503 assets and CSOB Slovakia had total assets of 9,221.

Total assets of the Slovak banking sector amounted to EUR 75.8 bil in 2017, up 6.23% when compared to the last year. VUB Banka made a net profit of 175, up 11.6% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s net profit reached an all time high of 177 in 2011 and an all time low of 31.1 in 2001. The average profit in the last five years amounted to 155.

The bank generated an average return on equity of 10.6% for its shareholders in the last five years with a maximum of 11.2% and a minimum of 10.0%.

Comparing VUB Banka with its closest peers, Slovenska Sporitelna generated a net profit of 164 with a ROE of 12.0% in 2017, Tatra banka netted 124 (ROE of 12.5%) and CSOB Slovakia announced a net profit of 70.0 giving a ROE of 9.22%.

Slovenska Sporitelna reported total revenues of 569, down 5.19% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of 605 in 2015 and an all time low of 73.2 in 1999. The average revenue in the last five years amounted to 592.

Bank's total revenues accounted for 3.48% of total assets in 2017, down from 4.05% a year earlier.

Comparing Slovenska Sporitelna with its closest peers, VUB Banka generated total revenues of 547, or 3.66% of assets in 2017, Tatra banka operated with 425 total income, or 3.40% revenue margin and CSOB Slovakia produced total income worth 289, or 3.13% of assets.

Postova Banka's loan to deposit ratio reached 56.0 at the end of 2016, down from 60.9 when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s loans to deposits hit an all time high of 64.2 in 2014 and an all time low of 33.6 in 2004.

Comparing Postova Banka with its closest peers, Wustenrot Stavebna Sporitelna ended the year 2016 with loans to deposits at 65.4, Privatbanka with 65.7 and CSOB Stavebna Sporitelna some 73.1 of loans to deposits at the end of 2016.

Overall, total loans of the Slovak banking sector amounted to 78.3% of deposits at the end of 2016.
