The Bank's deposit products include fixed deposits, fixed foreign exchange deposits, current accounts, and savings accounts. The Bank’s loan portfolio primarily comprises personal, mortgage, housing, investment, short-term, subsidized, refinanced investment, and real estate project financing loans, as well as overdrafts, trade finance, and credit guarantees. At the end of 2013, the Bank employed nearly 4,000 persons and offered its products and services through a network of 244 branches and 573 ATMs. The Bank's parent company was Intesa Sanpaolo SpA.

Average cost reached USD 3,007 per month per employee, 15.2% more than a year ago. This figure was USD 2,185 per month per month some 10 years ago.

Staff accounted for 47.4% of total operating expenditures in 2017. The bank operated a network of 236 branches in 2017.

Comparing VUB Banka with its closest peers, Prima Banka Slovakia had 959 employees and 127 branches in 2017, Slovenska Sporitelna operated with 4,250 people and 271 branches and Tatra banka had a network of 187 branches with 3,754 employees in 2017.

Comparing Slovenska Sporitelna with its closest peers, VUB Banka assets amounted to 14,971, Tatra banka operated with 12,503 assets and CSOB Slovakia had total assets of 9,221.

VUB Banka made a net profit of 175, up 11.6% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s net profit reached an all time high of 177 in 2011 and an all time low of 31.1 in 2001. The average profit in the last five years amounted to 155.

The bank generated an average return on equity of 10.6% for its shareholders in the last five years with a maximum of 11.2% and a minimum of 10.0%.

Comparing VUB Banka with its closest peers, Slovenska Sporitelna generated a net profit of 164 with a ROE of 12.0% in 2017, Tatra banka netted 124 (ROE of 12.5%) and CSOB Slovakia announced a net profit of 70.0 giving a ROE of 9.22%.

Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of 605 in 2015 and an all time low of 73.2 in 1999. The average revenue in the last five years amounted to 592.

Bank's total revenues accounted for 3.48% of total assets in 2017, down from 4.05% a year earlier.
